Your new company Your new company is a leading food manufacturer specialising in fresh and chilled products. The company supplies top retail businesses throughout the UK and Ireland, creating new products and developing partnerships and is continuing to grow from strength to strength. Due to continued success, they are looking for a talented Senior Production Planner to join their dynamic team. Your new role As a Senior Production Planner, you will operate the ERP System to generate dependent demand for the work centres in the company. You will be responsible for creating line schedules with measurable adherence to plan, monitoring and highlighting capacity at line level, and liaising with customers on availability. Your role will involve planning efficient production schedules, developing daily and weekly production plans, optimising labour utilisation, and ensuring products are scheduled for timely dispatch. You will also focus on continuous improvement within the planning function, employing strategies that create value and eliminate waste. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will need a third-level education and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar Production Planning role. Experience as a Senior Planner in food manufacturing or FMCG company is desirable. You should have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent organisational and time-management skills, and experience using bespoke ERP planning systems, particularly Dynamics AX. Lean manufacturing experience and a recognised supply chain qualification are also advantageous. You should demonstrate strong decision-making capabilities, take initiative, and be able to deputise for the Planning Manager as required.
