Your new company Hays Engineering are delighted to be working with a long-established and rapidly growing engineering manufacturer based in Tyrone. This organisation designs and builds advanced machinery in the heavy engineering market, supplying both the UK and international for their innovation, reliability, and strong order book. You will be joining a specialist team responsible for the design of heavy mechanical equipment and bespoke customer solutions. With increasing global demand for their products, the company is expanding and now seeks an ambitious Senior Design Engineer to support their next phase of growth.

Your new role:

  • Use SolidWorks to design equipment in the heavy engineering and material processing industry
  • Undertake large stationary projects without assistance or guidance
  • Design equipment using advanced 3D modelling with attention to detail
  • Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials, to support manufacturing processes
  • Identify any mechanical issues throughout the design and manufacturing processes, implementing effective solutions to overcome challenges

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Be proficient in SolidWorks
  • HND or degree in an engineering related subject
  • 5+ years full time designing heavy equipment for material processing
  • Have experience in leading design projects desired but not essential
