A leading public sector organisation is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join its strategic planning and transformation function. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping how data, insight, and analytics inform strategic decision-making across a large and complex organisation.
Your new role
As the technical lead for Business Intelligence and analytics, you will be responsible for developing and delivering enterprise dashboards, reporting solutions, and data modelling tools that support executive and operational decision-making. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you will drive improvements in data quality, governance, visualisation, and reporting capability.
You will lead the delivery of automated management information dashboards, provide strategic insight and recommendations to senior leaders, and champion best practice in business intelligence, analytics, and data governance. The role also includes mentoring colleagues, enhancing organisational data literacy, and contributing to the development of data governance frameworks and reporting standards.
What you'll need to succeed
Significant experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Insights roles within a large, complex organisation
Advanced expertise in Power BI and data visualisation techniques
Solid Excel experience
Strong analytical and statistical skills with experience using tools such as Python or R
Experience working with large and complex datasets to deliver actionable business insight
Knowledge of data governance, data quality, information security, and regulatory compliance
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate complex data into clear recommendations
Experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering strategic reporting initiatives
Exposure to predictive analytics, scenario planning, and data modelling
What you'll get in return
Salary of £47,389 to £56,535 dependent on experience
Hybrid and flexible working offered (2-3 days a week on site)
