Your new company is an established building services design consultancy based in Belfast, specialising in Mechanical, Electrical and Environmental Engineering. The team offers expertise across MEP, BIM and 3D modelling, delivering consulting services throughout the UK and Ireland. Your new role involves leading the BIM function across the business due to continued growth. You will be responsible for managing a team of BIM Coordinators, overseeing BIM standards and digital workflows, and ensuring consistency and quality across all MEP project delivery. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing the company's BIM strategy, managing internal and outsourced BIM resources, and supporting the transition towards a cloud-based BIM collaboration platform.

BIM Strategy & Digital Leadership
  • Develop and implement BIM strategies aligned with ISO 19650 and client requirements.
  • Establish and maintain company BIM standards, protocols, templates and libraries.
  • Drive digital innovation initiatives and continuous improvement across the business.
  • Act as the lead BIM representative with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation of cloud-based collaboration platforms and Common Data Environments (CDEs).
Project Delivery & Coordination
  • Oversee BIM delivery across multiple MEP projects.
  • Ensure the production of coordinated, high-quality models and project deliverables.
  • Manage BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), project setup and structured data outputs.
  • Lead clash detection, model coordination reviews and issue resolution.
  • Work closely with engineers, architects and external consultants to ensure successful project delivery.
Information Management & Quality Assurance
  • Manage CDE platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements and industry best practice.
  • Implement robust QA/QC processes across all BIM deliverables.
  • Oversee model quality, data integrity and version control procedures.
Team Leadership
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of BIM Coordinators and technical staff.
  • Manage BIM resources, workload planning and external BIM support partners.
  • Deliver internal training and promote BIM best practice throughout the organisation.
  • Support engineers and project teams in the effective use of digital design tools.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Significant BIM management experience within a building services consultancy or MEP environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Revit MEP, Navisworks and AutoCAD.
  • Experience implementing and managing BIM standards in accordance with ISO 19650.
  • Proven leadership experience managing BIM teams and coordinating resources.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems and multidisciplinary project coordination.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
  • Experience managing Common Data Environments (CDEs).
  • Knowledge of BIM Collaborate Pro, Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar platforms.
  • Experience with Dynamo, scripting or automation tools.
  • Background delivering BIM solutions across large-scale commercial, residential, healthcare or education projects.
