An outstanding Secondary School is looking for a School Receptionist/Admissions Assistant for a temporary to permanent position.

The cover is Monday to Friday, term time only, 8.00 am to 4.00 pm.

Your new role

The role will entail:

  • Deal with the telephone enquiries from parents and members of the public, ensuring accurate messages are clearly relayed to recipients.
  • Respond to enquiries from prospective parents via email, telephone, and in person.
  • Keep up to date the waiting list and process yearly applications working with the Trust Admissions Officer.
  • Respond to parents in writing, confirming visits and requesting proof of address.
  • Working with the Pastoral Manager, write letters to parents, confirming start dates and update waiting lists with the start dates.
  • Log applications and input student data.
  • Process the administration of free school lunches for students.
  • Undertake the administration of admission applications and admission appeals including recording data and liaising with other schools.

Please note this is a very busy school office and requires an individual that can work under pressure.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to have a high level of communication skills and be able to work quickly under your initiative. You will also have recent satisfactory references for carrying out a similar placement within the last 2 years. You will also need to have an up to date DBS check, the school can't accept any applicants without this.
