Your new company is a successful and well-established food manufacturing organisation in the Armagh area, committed to delivering high quality products through strong technical, food safety and compliance practices. With a reputation for excellence and a culture that supports continuous improvement, the business is now seeking an experienced Quality/Technical Manager to lead its technical function and maintain high standards across the site.
Your new role involves full responsibility for the management and development of the site's Quality and Technical functions, ensuring compliance with BRC, customer requirements, and all legislative standards. You will lead the technical team, oversee the day-to-day operation of the Quality Management System, and ensure full audit readiness at all times. You will drive food safety, quality performance, and continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with Production, Hygiene, and Senior Leadership teams to maintain best in class standards. This role also involves managing customer relationships, responding to queries and complaints, supporting NPD activity, and ensuring that all documentation, procedures, and technical controls are up to date and effective.
To succeed in this role, you will have proven experience working at management or supervisory level within the food manufacturing industry, with a strong background in BRC accreditation and audit preparation. You will bring excellent knowledge of food safety systems, HACCP, QMS development, and customer standards, along with strong leadership capabilities and the ability to motivate and develop teams. The role requires exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the confidence to influence across departments in a fast-paced production environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement will be key to your success.
