This is a great opportunity to work for a large manufacturing company that has successfully been in business for over 50 years and has gained an amazing reputation for putting their customers and staff at the forefront of their business. They are looking to recruit for a Purchasing Officer. This is a full-time permanent job. Hours of work are Monday - Thursday 8-5 and Friday 8-4. Salary is circa £30k plus a bonus of £15%.
Your new role
- Assist with the daily purchasing of stock for the company.
- Liaise with stores, accounts, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Maintain and review the Vendor Assessment Scheme, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Organize the return of any unacceptable goods.
- Handle daily administration tasks such as weekly reports, data analysis, updating databases, and managing stock orders.
- Carry out other duties as required by management.
