Your new company is a private sector organisation recruiting for a Project and Compliance Officer based in Belfast.

Your new role involves providing key support across a range of strategic projects, compliance initiatives, governance activities, and business improvement programmes. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to coordinate project work streams, maintain documentation and reporting processes, track progress against objectives, and support the delivery of management information and performance dashboards. Additionally, you will play an important role in ensuring robust compliance arrangements are maintained across the organisation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring legislative and regulatory developments
  • Maintaining compliance registers
  • Supporting internal audit activities
  • Coordinating policy reviews
  • Assisting with risk management processes
  • Administering governance frameworks
  • Coordinating training activities
  • Supporting the ongoing development of technology-driven solutions to enhance business processes

This is a varied role offering exposure to project delivery, governance, compliance, risk management, reporting, and stakeholder engagement within a structured and professional environment.

To succeed in this role, you will be educated to an A-Level standard or equivalent and possess a minimum of three years' relevant experience within project coordination, compliance, governance, risk, regulatory affairs, or a similar professional environment. You will have experience managing documentation, reporting processes, and supporting audit or assurance activities across multiple concurrent work streams.

You will demonstrate:

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience producing reports, management information, and documentation for senior stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Advanced proficiency across Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams
  • The ability to analyse data and present accurate, meaningful reporting outputs
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a collaborative and professional approach

Desirable criteria include experience within a regulated sector, exposure to governance or risk management activities, project management qualifications such as PRINCE2 Foundation, knowledge of compliance frameworks, experience with business improvement initiatives, Power Apps, and data visualisation tools.
