A well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor with over 35 years' experience delivering high quality works, is seeking to appoint an experienced Civils Project Manager. Operating across Ireland and the UK, the business delivers high-quality groundwork, civil engineering and construction solutions to public and private sector clients. Their portfolio spans commercial, residential, retail and industrial developments, with a strong track record of repeat business built on quality, safety and a very healthy order book for the coming years.
Your New Role
Following continued project wins, the company is looking to strengthen its management team with the appointment of a Project Manager to lead civil schemes ranging in size from smaller works up to projects valued at £25mil+. You will take full responsibility for projects from pre-construction through to completion of substructures, overseeing works including foundations, structures, steel and concrete packages and associated civils works from roads. You will act as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders, ensuring programmes are met, quality standards are upheld, and health and safety remains paramount. Projects are typically fast-paced and high value, requiring strong leadership, technical competence and commercial skills.
Responsibilities
- Full project life cycle management from inception to delivery
- Planning and managing programmes, budgets and resources
- Coordination and management of subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards
- Client liaison and clear reporting on progress, risks and costs
- Driving projects to completion on time and within budget
What We're Looking For
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Previous background in an engineering role with strong technical competencies
- Proven experience in a management role within civil engineering or groundworks
- Strong background managing commercial or industrial construction projects
- Excellent budget, programme and risk management skills
- Confident communicator with strong leadership and decision-making ability
- Willingness to travel across Ireland as required
