Your New Role
As a Civils Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of a new Transport Infrastructure Project that will shape a city. This scheme includes circa 10km of road widening, cycle paths, utilities works, drainage and a minimum of 4 bridge structures. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Manage all site staff and subcontractors
- Plan and deliver projects within budget and schedule
- Ensure compliance with company, health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures
- Monitor and control project resources and progress
- Maintain high standards of quality and quality construction
- Liaise with clients, designers, and project teams
- Chair project and subcontractor meetings, compile reports
- Maintain contractual records and submit O&M manuals
- Introduce innovations and control contract costs
What You Will Need to Succeed
This role will require previous experience in a similar management role, working on large scale projects and taking the lead across various civil and structural disciplines. Some key requirements and traits will include:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
- Ability to manage large-scale projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery
- Proficient in project planning, scheduling, and resource management
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and project management software
- Proven leadership skills to manage diverse teams and resolve conflicts
- Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction
- Expertise in risk identification and mitigation strategies
- Skilled in managing project budgets and cost control
- Willingness to travel as required for project oversight
- Full UK driving licence
