Your New Role
As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining product specifications, designing and purchasing job-specific tooling, and maintaining complete and accurate records of product specification history. You will act as a safety leader, review new product requests, interpret and control customer-supplied specifications, translate customer information into our specification format using AutoCAD, maintain organised customer master files, generate internal product specifications in SAP, provide accurate product information to SAP data specialists, design and issue job-specific tooling, control design advancement, manage change requests, work on new business development projects, use analytical skills to resolve manufacturing issues, ensure data accuracy, and participate in customer audits.
What You Will Need to Succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need a degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or a relevant discipline, and a minimum of 3-5 years of design/development experience. Essential competencies include excellent organisational and data skills, a background in AutoCAD, planning and time management skills, vigorous problem-solving abilities, strong knowledge of Microsoft computer software, strong interpretive, analytical, and maths skills, and the ability to organise and disseminate information efficiently. A detailed knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
