Your new company The services of Hays have been retained by our client, Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council (LCCC), to recruit a Principal Regeneration Officer to join their Regeneration & Growth team on a fixed-term basis for 3 years with the possibility of extension. This is an exciting time to join the Council – there is an ambitious vision to create opportunities for strong, healthy communities, and business growth. Every role at LCCC contributes to this aim, and if appointed to this role you will be part of creating better lives for all. Your new role Reporting to the Regeneration and Infrastructure Manager, you will lead the efficient delivery of the Council's new and innovative Economic and Regeneration Growth Fund. You will be responsible for the development and delivery of this key regeneration project within the Council's regeneration folio. The role will also involve working cross directorate to meet corporate objectives, specifically with a regeneration brief, on the delivery of key initiatives across the Council's commercial centres. You will be leading on some of the Council's key projects and programmes designed to invigorate LCCC commercial centres, to support the business community and attract investment into the Council area. Working as part of a dynamic and diverse team, you will work in partnership with Public Sector bodies to secure public sector resources to leverage commercial investment to address vacancy and dereliction across the Council's commercial centres. What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this position, you must have:1.1: A third level qualification (for example, an HNC, HND, NVQ Level 4, Degree) or equivalent in an appropriate related discipline, e.g. Economics, Housing, Regeneration, Project Management, Architecture.1.2: A recognised professional qualification in Project Management.1.3 A minimum of four years' relevant experience in the following areas of responsibility:* Working experience within the field of regeneration and/or housing.* Experience of managing budgets of a large monetary value.* Project management experience. If you do not hold the qualifications as outlined in 1.1 and 1.2, you must demonstrate a minimum of seven years' experience as outlined in 1.3 above.
