A college in Preston has approached Hays looking for an interim IT Technician for January 1-2 months. The college is near the M6, M61 and M65, within commuting distance of Manchester and Liverpool too. The IT Service team are responsible for the support, maintenance and installation of all IT systems and services including software, hardware, networks and telephony systems.
As an IT Technician, you will:
- Respond to incidents and requests logged by the service desk and prioritise accordingly to meet the business and user needs.
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support to staff and students.
- Work as a team to proactively maintain, enhance and improve the IT infrastructure.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Knowledge of IT systems, networks, and hardware maintenance.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving IT issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to provide advice and training to staff and students.
- Enhanced DBS.
