Your new company Hays are recruiting on behalf of a leading maintenance and facilities management contractor delivering services across domestic properties within the Belfast area. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Plumber to join their established team on a permanent basis. Your new role As a Plumber, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance across a range of residential properties within the Radius Housing contract. Working independently, you will attend customer homes to diagnose issues, complete repairs, and ensure all work is carried out to a high standard of safety and workmanship.A company van will be provided, and the role will involve travelling to various sites throughout Belfast and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities Carry out reactive and planned plumbing maintenance works within occupied and void domestic properties. Diagnose and repair faults on domestic plumbing systems. Install, repair and maintain pipework, sanitary ware, taps, valves and associated plumbing fixtures. Respond to emergency callouts as required. Ensure all works are completed in line with current health and safety regulations. Complete job sheets and relevant paperwork accurately. Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with tenants and residents. Maintain company vehicle and equipment in good condition. What you'll need to succeed Essential Criteria NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent recognised qualification). Valid CSR Card. Full UK Driving Licence. Proven experience working as a domestic plumber within housing maintenance, social housing, or residential environments. Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Good communication and customer service skills. Desirable Criteria Experience working on social housing or housing association contracts. Experience carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance works. Knowledge of current plumbing regulations and best practices. What you'll get in return Permanent, full-time position.
