Your new company is a waste management service provider specialising in the management of non-hazardous recyclable and recoverable waste streams for retail, commercial, and industrial clients in Northern Ireland. The company are looking for a talented Operations Manager to join their team and contribute to our continued success.
As the Operations Manager, you will oversee the operation of the company's processing and collection activities. You will be responsible for strategic planning, budgetary planning, and ensuring operational best practices in compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations. Your key accountabilities will include:
- Ensuring the efficient functioning and timely delivery of all business services
- Measuring and reporting on performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability
- Recruiting, training, and developing staff
- Managing and coordinating fleet, plant, and equipment maintenance
- Supporting the Sales Team in business development
- Providing operational reports to the Directors
To be successful in this role, you will need experience of managing operational functions within a waste management or similar environment.
