Sales Office Administrator Your new company A well-established and growing organisation within the manufacturing and distribution sector is seeking a Sales Office Administrator to join its busy Belfast-based operation.
With a strong reputation across Ireland and the UK, the company supplies products to a wide range of commercial and domestic customers and prides itself on delivering excellent service and operational efficiency.
Your new role As Sales Office Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy sales and logistics office.
You will manage customer orders from initial enquiry through to delivery and invoicing, ensuring a high level of accuracy and customer service throughout.
Key responsibilities will include: Answering telephones and processing customer orders.
Accurately processing sales orders, raising despatch notes and invoices.
Carrying out weighbridge administration duties.
Liaising with production teams to ensure product availability.
Scheduling vehicles for local domestic and commercial deliveries.
Organising haulage for wholesale deliveries throughout Ireland and the UK.
Processing customer payments including cash and cheques.
Preparing daily banking lodgements and maintaining accurate financial records.
Responding to customer enquiries promptly and professionally.
Supporting HR administration, including inductions and return-to-work interviews.
Completing daily, weekly and monthly administrative tasks, worksheets and checklists.
Assisting with general office administration as required.
What you'll need to succeed: A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a busy office environment.
Previous experience processing sales orders and coordinating logistics activities.
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
The ability to work effectively to deadlines.
A proactive and flexible approach to work.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable criteria: Experience within a manufacturing, distribution, transport or related industry.
Experience using accounting or business management systems such as Sage or similar ERP software.
