Your new company A leading M&E contractor based in Newtownabbey is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to join the team on a major data centre project in Derry/Londonderry.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of a high-profile project, supporting the Project Manager with the day-to-day management of site activities whilst ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Your new role Reporting to the Project Manager, you will support the delivery of the project from installation through to commissioning and handover, coordinating site teams, subcontractors and project activities to ensure programme and quality objectives are achieved.
Key responsibilities will include: Ensuring all health, safety and welfare requirements are implemented and maintained on site.
Allocating work activities to site personnel and subcontract labour.
Reviewing and approving timesheets within required deadlines.
Liaising with the project team regarding programme requirements and any potential issues affecting delivery.
Ensuring the appropriate approvals are obtained for variation works.
Maintaining all site documentation in accordance with company procedures.
Managing site materials, deliveries and procurement activities.
Monitoring the quality of workmanship of both direct labour and subcontractors.
Assisting with the coordination of the project through all phases to successful completion and handover.
Producing RAMS, technical submittals and inspection test plans.
Supporting the commissioning, handover and aftercare process.
Carrying out any other duties as reasonably required by the Project Manager.
What you'll need to succeed Qualified Plumber or Mechanical Tradesperson.
Previous experience in a mechanical site supervisory role.
Experience with industrial, pharmaceutical, cleanroom, data centre, healthcare or similar technically complex projects.
Knowledge of construction, installation and commissioning sequences and practices.
Proficient knowledge of health and safety and environmental legislation.
Confident and well organised.
Results driven.
High level of communication, organisational, motivational and management skills.
Proactive and committed.
Collaborative and team-oriented, with the ability to delegate effectively.
Able to lead by example and build trust within the team.
Adaptable to change.
