Your new company

The services of Hays have been retained by our client, a large Maintenance / Construction business based in Belfast, to recruit an interim Managing Director on a fixed-term basis for a period of 6 months.

Your new role

You will have responsibility for leading the organisation's maintenance and direct services arm, which will include running the day-to-day operations whilst also setting strategy, managing people, controlling budgets, meeting contracts, and reporting to the board during.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this position, you must possess knowledge / experience of:

  • Commercial and operational running of a maintenance/ construction service.
  • Managing a large staff team.
  • Providing expert advice to senior staff / stakeholders.
  • Delivering a high performing service with clear VFM metrics.

You should have the ability to:

  • Lead, motivate and develop staff.
  • Lead the delivery of operational services.
  • Think commercially and provide strategic business insight.
  • Think strategically and solve complex problems.
  • Set & control budgets.
  • Represent and promote the organisation's vision and values.
