Your new company Hays Accountancy & Finance are seeking a Finance Manager for our client, a global leader in sustainable solutions. In this role, you will oversee financial and operational performance reporting, manage daily accounting processes, and lead a dedicated finance team. This is a fixed-term position until February 2027, offering an immediate start.
Your new role:
- Lead and support the Finance Team, including Accounts Payable, Receivable, and operational accounting.
- Complete month-end processes (closing ledgers, posting journals, reviewing accruals and prepayments).
- Manage payroll, pensions, VAT returns etc.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and management accounts.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and oversee expenses and credit card reconciliations.
- Handle bank payments and foreign currency requirements.
- Ensure compliance with statutory payments and audits (internal, external, HMRC).
- Assist with annual budgeting and provide financial data for reporting.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Degree in Finance or Accounting (minimum 2:1).
- Professional qualification (CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) with 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- High level of computer literacy and good knowledge of UK & International accounting standards.
- Desirable is Experience managing people, or Knowledge of process improvement and ERP systems.
