Our specialist client supplies bespoke machinery solutions across a wide range of industries throughout Northern Ireland and beyond, optimising production lines and improving output.

You'll be part of a skilled and supportive team, working across a variety of projects for our clients at multiple sites. Your electrical expertise and fault-finding abilities will be put to good use across a wide range of tasks, from upgrading control panels and installing machinery, to providing planned maintenance and responding to breakdowns. This is a hands-on, varied role that includes both project-based work and reactive or preventative electrical maintenance. We're looking for a talented and experienced multi-skilled individual who enjoys diversity in their day-to-day and takes pride in quality work. As the company grows, so will your opportunities. What You'll Need To Succeed

In order to be considered for this post you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Essential Criteria (electrical candidates)
    • Past experience in cable management (cable termination, installation of cable trays, cable ladders etc.) and panel wiring
    • Past experience inspecting, diagnosing and repairing 3 phase motors, control circuits, safety circuits
    • Relevant post apprenticeship level 3 or above in electrical installation of electrical systems
    • A full UK/EU driving license
    • Ability to work well under pressure as an individual and as part of a team
    • Ability to read and use effectively wiring diagrams, schematics and Process & Instrumentation drawings
    • Efficient and organised individual with awareness of the importance of hygiene and "as you go" housekeeping
    • Mechanical skills and know-how.
  • Desirable Criteria (electrical candidates)
    • 18th Edition
    • Prior experience delivering maintenance solutions in a fast-paced food production environment
    • PLC qualifications/experience
    • IPAF MEWP license
    • Fixed wire testing qualifications and experience
    • Sound knowledge of electrical systems, automated control systems and PLCs
    • Food safety qualifications
    • Fixed wire testing experience
    • Panel design/build/installation and commissioning.
  • Essential Criteria (mechanical candidates)
    • Time-served apprenticeship with a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar
    • Minimum 2 years' post-apprenticeship experience in a similar maintenance role
    • Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical and/or electrical systems
    • Good understanding of health & safety practices
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Desirable Criteria (mechanical candidates)
    • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
    • MEWP training
    • Experience within food manufacturing or other fast-paced production environments
    • Welding/fabrication experience
    • PLC fault-finding experience.

What You'll Get In Return

For working a highly attractive shift pattern on days (core hours Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:30) you will earn a salary up to £40000 (DoE) + company van and fuel card, enhanced with an OT rate of 1.5 or TIL and 30 days holidays.
