Your new company A leading and highly successful FMCG organisation is seeking to appoint an Administrator / Customer Planner to join its busy team. This organisation works with a portfolio of well-known consumer brands and prides itself on delivering exceptional service to customers across the retail and wholesale sectors. Operating within a fast-paced and collaborative environment, the company offers employees the opportunity to play a key role in supporting both customer operations and front-of-house activities. Your new role As Administrator / Customer Planner, you will be responsible for processing customer orders and ensuring a smooth flow of communication between customers, sales teams, logistics partners and internal stakeholders. Alongside order management responsibilities, you will also act as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, supporting the day-to-day running of the office and creating a welcoming professional environment. Key duties will include: Processing customer and sample orders accurately and efficiently Liaising with logistics providers, customers and sales representatives to ensure timely delivery of goods Responding to customer enquiries and providing excellent customer service Preparing daily and weekly order reports Managing loading sheet administration and supporting order fulfilment processes Processing credit note requests and obtaining supporting documentation and approvals Providing general administrative support across the business Supporting management and sales teams within a small, close-knit administration function Managing incoming calls, meeting and greeting visitors, and coordinating hospitality requirements Organising meeting rooms and supporting company events and activities Coordinating travel and accommodation bookings as required Assisting with the organisation of office events and employee engagement activities Ensuring office facilities, equipment and supplies are maintained and operating effectively Supporting the overall upkeep and presentation of the office environment What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this role, you will have: A minimum of 1-2 years' experience within order processing, customer planning or a similar administration role Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong customer service and communication skills The ability to work independently and use initiative Experience using ERP systems or order processing software Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office applications A proactive and collaborative approach to work Previous FMCG, retail or wholesale sector experience would be advantageous What you'll get in return Opportunity to join a leading and growing FMCG organisation Long-term career development opportunities Salary £28k - £30k depending on experience; 22 days annual leave plus 11 stat days Private Healthcare Mon - Thurs 8.30am - 5pm; Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
