An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join a busy finance shared services team based in Belfast.

This role will sit within the Purchase to Pay function and will support the accurate and timely processing of invoices, supplier queries, reconciliations and payment-related activities.

This is a great opportunity for someone with accounts payable experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities Process invoices accurately and within agreed deadlines.

Manage supplier and internal business queries in a timely and professional manner.

Carry out account reconciliations and support payment processes.

Maintain strong relationships with internal departments, suppliers and external contacts.

Support the smooth running of month-end purchase-to-pay processes.

Investigate and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies.

Ensure company policies, procedures and financial controls are followed.

Liaise with finance teams, account managers and other departments to resolve queries.

Use Excel, including pivot tables, to review financial data and help resolve outstanding items.

Complete ad-hoc duties as required by management.

Essential Criteria Minimum of 1 year's experience in an accounts payable or finance role.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with people at all levels.

Good attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.

Ability to work well as part of a team.

Confident using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Experience working in a fast-paced finance or shared services environment.
