The company maintains a solutions-based, collaborative approach with clients, design teams, and supply chains, prioritising cost-efficiency, health compliance, and quality control.
Your new role as Senior Quantity Surveyor involves taking a leadership position, overseeing cost management from pre-construction through to final account on medium-to-large build projects. You will work closely with project teams to safeguard margins, ensure contractual compliance, and manage stakeholder relationships in alignment with the company's ethos of transparency and collaboration. Excellent communication, stakeholder liaison, and team leadership skills are required, along with a proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to high quality and health & safety standards.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor within contracting environments, preferably in commercial or community sector projects.
- Experience in estimating and managing the full cost control cycle including forecasting, tendering, procurement, cost reporting, and final account reconciliation.
- Ability to administer contracts, prepare and evaluate tenders, negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers, and handle variations and claims.
- Involvement in monthly interim payment applications and cost value reconciliation, along with monitoring cash flow and producing commercial reports for senior stakeholders.
- Capability to identify and manage commercial risks, propose cost-effective solutions, and drive value-engineering initiatives.
- Collaboration with planning, site, and health & safety teams to align commercial and operational objectives.
