Your new company is a leading main contractor, based in Newry, seeking an experienced and commercially focused Pre-Construction Manager to lead and coordinate all pre-construction activities across a diverse portfolio of projects. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing the bid, design development, estimating, and technical review processes to ensure projects are successfully transitioned from concept and tender stage through to construction.
The successful candidate will work closely with clients, consultants, design teams, estimators, commercial teams, and operational staff to develop robust project strategies, deliver competitive tenders, and support the successful mobilisation of projects.
The successful Pre-Construction Manager will play a pivotal role in securing and delivering future work by ensuring projects are thoroughly planned, commercially robust, technically sound, and ready for successful delivery from day one.

Essential Criteria:
- Degree-qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or a related discipline.

- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project delivery.
- Experience managing design development and tender processes.
- Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of construction contracts.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience within main contracting environments.
- Knowledge of Design & Build procurement routes.
- Professional membership with CIOB, RICS, ICE, or equivalent.
- Understanding of BIM processes and digital construction technologies.
