We are currently recruiting for an experienced Rent Setting Team Leader to join a forward-thinking housing association in Manchester. This is a key leadership role with a strong emphasis on systems, service transformation, and continuous improvement across rent and service charge delivery.
The Role
As Rent Setting Team Leader, you will lead the implementation and development of rent and service charge processes, ensuring they align with best practice, regulatory requirements, and organisational objectives. You will play a pivotal role in transforming rental services through effective use of systems and technology.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the end-to-end rent and service charge setting process within the organisation
- Driving systems improvement and transformation, exploring new developments and maximising current system functionality
- Building, reviewing, and developing robust, efficient processes to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Leading and managing change initiatives within the Rent Setting team
- Acting as the systems subject-matter expert for rent and service charge activities
- Ensuring compliance with housing regulation, rent standards, and internal governance
- Supporting, coaching, and developing team members to deliver a high-quality service
About You
You will bring a blend of technical rent-setting expertise and systems knowledge, with experience leading change in a housing or similar regulated environment.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience in rent and/or service charge setting within a housing association
- Strong understanding of housing management systems and data integrity
- Experience leading systems improvements or service transformation projects
- The ability to translate complex system functionality into practical processes
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
