We are seeking a nurturing, flexible, and creative EYFS teacher to join our dedicated SEND Resource Base within a vibrant mainstream primary school. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on making learning accessible, joyful, and meaningful for young children with a range of additional needs.

You will work in a specialist provision, with small groups of pupils—primarily in the Early Years—who may have communication and interaction needs, developmental delays, sensory needs, or emerging social-emotional challenges. Your role will be to deliver high-quality, play-based learning that supports each child's individual development while fostering confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

Your new role:

  • Teaching small groups of EYFS pupils within the SEND Resource Base, following personalised learning plans.
  • Creating a warm, structured, and inclusive environment where every child feels safe and valued.
  • Using play-based, sensory-rich, and communication-supportive approaches.
  • Working closely with support staff, therapists, and the wider school team.
  • Adapting activities to meet a range of learning styles and developmental needs.
  • Supporting smooth transitions between the Resource Base and mainstream settings where appropriate.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with families and contributing to a collaborative, child-centred ethos.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with EYFS experience.
  • A genuine passion for early childhood development and inclusive education.
  • Confidence in adapting teaching for children with SEND.
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, compassionate approach.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a willingness to learn.
  • Experience in a SEND setting is desirable but not essential—enthusiasm and the right mindset matter most.

What you'll get in return:

  • A supportive, friendly team who value collaboration and wellbeing.
  • Opportunities to develop SEND expertise and access to ongoing CPD.
  • A well-resourced, nurturing environment designed to help children thrive.
  • The chance to make a meaningful difference every day.
