Your new company Hays Derry are currently recruiting a Digger Driver for a long-established and highly regarded civil engineering subcontractor based in Derry for delivering high-value packages across major infrastructure schemes throughout Ireland and the UK. Operating for several decades, this business has built a strong reputation for quality delivery, dependable relationships, and technical capability in heavy civils. With a growing pipeline of complex projects, the company continues to expand by hiring additional operators to meet demand.
Your new employer has the experience and skillset to operate successfully in diverse sectors within the construction industry both in a subcontracting capacity and as principal contractor. With a track record of successful civils works, education, community, recreation & leisure, restoration & heritage, private housing and commercial projects, this is an excellent opportunity for a Digger Operator to join a progressive contractor.
Your new role
- Operating 360 excavators on a range of civil engineering and construction sites
- Carrying out groundwork support as required
- Working as part of a professional, fast-paced site team
- Ensuring safe operation and adherence to site regulations
What you’ll need to succeed
- Valid CSR/CPCS/NPORS card
- Proven experience operating diggers on active construction sites
- Strong work ethic and ability to work away from home
- Reliability and good communication skills
