We are looking to appoint a motivated and inspirational Head of Computing to lead our team of outstanding staff in this popular and highly successful curriculum area. Applications are considered from experienced and aspiring leaders. This position also has the attraction of additional Whole School IT responsibility, which can be tailored to the skills and experience of the successful candidate.

In 2025, the outcomes for Computing & ICT were:

  • GCSE Computing (27 entries): 9-7: 52%, 9-5: 93%
  • A Level Computer Science (13 entries): A*-A: 31%, A*-B: 69%, A*-C: 100%

We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner who is passionate about their subject to join our team of highly skilled staff delivering outstanding lessons to our exceptional students. St Thomas the Apostle school is a 11-18 Catholic boys' school with a co-educational Sixth Form in Nunhead, South East London. We are an outstanding school and our most recent Progress 8 score places us as 10th best school in the country. We pride ourselves on our high expectations of all learners.
