As a Transport Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day coordination of transport and waste collection operations. Working closely with drivers, customers and the Transport Manager, you will ensure smooth and compliant operations across the fleet.
Key responsibilities include:
- Transport Planning & Coordination
- Liaising with customers, drivers and the Transport Manager
- Monitoring vehicle movements and resolving delays or disruptions
- Driver Administration
- Maintaining driver records, licences, CPC qualifications and training documentation
- Monitoring driver hours and supporting compliance with regulations
- Managing digi card downloads and reporting
- Completing weekly driver debriefs
- Compliance & Record Keeping
- Maintaining accurate transport documentation and records
- Ensuring all paperwork is completed and filed correctly
- Supporting compliance with transport regulations and company procedures
- Assisting with audits
- Vehicle & Fleet Administration
- Scheduling servicing, MOTs, inspections and maintenance
- Monitoring vehicle defects and arranging prompt repairs
- Managing vehicle changes on the Operator's Licence
What you'll need to succeed:
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with transport management systems
- Knowledge of transport compliance (desirable)
- Full clean driving licence and access to your own transport
