Your new company is a Maintenance Engineer on days with one of the best known food groups in Ireland, known for excellent processes, training, and career development. They are a high volume producer within FMCG and have invested steadily in the upgrade of site, equipment, and processes over the years. Due to a focus on a more planned maintenance program, they wish to appoint 2 new engineers into a day-based maintenance engineer role to be hands-on but focus on root cause analysis and proper long-term fixes to improve OEE.

Your new role involves working in a large maintenance team, Monday to Friday, supporting the team while also focusing on analysis of breakdowns and issues, examining how future work can provide a longer-term fix, thus reducing instances of breakdown and freeing the team to work on more preventative-based tasks.
