Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Co-ordinator who will report to the Production Manager. You will coordinate and oversee maintenance activities, ensuring preventative and corrective maintenance work is completed efficiently, safely and in accordance with company standards. This role supports operational continuity by managing maintenance schedules, contractors, resources and maintenance records.
Core duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Plan, schedule and coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance activities
- Monitor maintenance requests and prioritise work based on operational requirements
- Create and maintain maintenance schedules to minimise equipment downtime
- Coordinate with internal departments and external contractors to ensure timely completion of maintenance work
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation
- Monitor equipment performance and identify recurring issues requiring corrective action
- Raise purchase orders and coordinate procurement of maintenance materials, tools, and spare parts
- Manage inventory levels of critical spare parts and maintenance supplies
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and company standards
- Support investigations into equipment failures and recommend improvements
- Assist with budgeting and tracking maintenance expenditure
- Coordinate statutory inspections, servicing, and certification requirements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency
- Participate in maintenance audits and compliance reviews
- Manage the reception area
To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, engineering, or operational support role
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and maintenance planning principles
- Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Understanding of health and safety legislation and best practices
Qualifications:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics
- Relevant experience in maintenance coordination, facilities management, engineering, or a related field
