Your New Company
Our client is an established and growing property business with a strong presence across the residential lettings sector. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced and ambitious Lettings Agent to join their team and play a key role in driving portfolio growth, delivering exceptional customer service, and strengthening relationships with landlords and tenants.
Your New Role
As Lettings Agent, you will be responsible for managing the full lettings process from valuation through to tenancy management while supporting the growth of the business through new instructions and landlord retention. Key responsibilities will include:
- Growing lettings income by winning new business and developing existing client relationships.
- Conducting rental valuations and providing accurate market appraisals across a diverse property portfolio.
- Advising landlords on market conditions, rental values, portfolio performance and investment opportunities.
- Managing the complete lettings lifecycle, including marketing, viewings, applications, referencing, tenancy agreements, deposit collection and tenant onboarding.
- Negotiating tenancy terms between landlords and tenants.
- Managing tenancy renewals, rent reviews and tenancy changes in line with current legislation.
- Preparing notices and ensuring compliance with all relevant housing and property legislation.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for landlords and tenants, resolving issues professionally and efficiently.
- Coordinating property maintenance and contractor attendance where required.
- Maintaining accurate property, tenancy and client records using internal systems and databases.
- Working alongside marketing teams to enhance property visibility through digital and social media channels.
- Supporting company growth through business development activities and relationship management.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, operational efficiency and customer experience.
What You'll Need to Succeed
To be considered for this role, you will have a minimum of two years' experience within a lettings, property management or residential property environment and possess a strong understanding of the lettings process. You will also demonstrate:
- Experience conducting property viewings and rental valuations.
- Strong knowledge of residential lettings legislation and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term landlord and tenant relationships.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- A proactive and commercially focused approach.
- Strong IT skills with experience using property management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Previous experience using MRI software.
- Experience in business development and portfolio growth.
- Knowledge of digital property marketing strategies.
