Your New Role

Working as a Continuous Improvement / Reliability Engineer you are responsible for maintaining, improving, and developing the site manufacturing equipment and site services to ensure maximum operational efficiency, safety and reliability. This role combines hands-on electrical engineering support with leadership of continuous improvement (CI), preventative maintenance strategies and engineering projects across a high-volume food production environment. You will play a key role in reducing downtime, improving asset reliability, driving engineering standards and supporting operational performance. You will also facilitate knowledge transfer to both maintenance and operations staff by training and coaching.

Whilst working your core duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure all engineering activities are carried out in accordance with Legal & Company Standards
  • Compile Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Statutory checks, audits of toolboxes, priority risk areas and jobs
  • Manage Contractors
  • Carry out Priority Risk Audits
  • Participate and lead improvement activities with teams
  • Liaise with Shift teams to understand recent failure modes on plant
  • Absence cover for managers

What You'll Need To Succeed

In order to be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Recognised Engineering apprenticeship - Level 3 Electrical
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a skilled engineer
  • 18th IET Wiring Regulations
  • A dual Electrical/Mechanical apprenticeship would be desirable
  • Problem-solving and fault diagnosis
  • Experience with PLCs

This role offers a comprehensive salary of £50000 - £52000 (DoE) for working an attractive Monday - Friday pattern on days (07:00 - 16:00).
