This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Senior Flood Risk Consultant, Principal Engineer, or Flood Risk Specialist looking to step into an Associate-level leadership role. You'll play a key role in delivering high-profile flood risk, flood alleviation, climate resilience, and water management projects across Northern Ireland, Ireland, and the wider UK, while helping to grow and develop a successful multidisciplinary team. Your new role As an Associate within the Flood Risk Management team, you will: Lead the delivery of complex flood risk and water management projects from inception through to completion. Manage project teams, budgets, programme delivery, and client relationships. Provide technical leadership across flood risk assessments, catchment studies, flood alleviation schemes, hydraulic modelling and climate resilience projects. Support business development activities, tender submissions and framework opportunities. Mentor and develop engineers and consultants across the team. Collaborate closely with specialists in water, environmental, planning and infrastructure disciplines. Represent the business with key public and private sector clients. What you'll need to succeed Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geography or a related discipline. Chartered status (or working towards chartership) through ICE, CIWEM or equivalent. Significant experience in flood risk management, flooding and drainage, catchment management or hydraulic modelling. Experience leading multidisciplinary projects and managing client relationships. Strong understanding of UK and Irish flood risk policy, legislation and best practice. Experience using industry-standard hydraulic and hydrological modelling software. Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills. A commercial mindset with an interest in business development and team growth.
