Your new company is an established and highly respected multidisciplinary engineering consultancy seeking an Associate Director to join its growing Belfast office. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure, transportation, and civil engineering projects across the UK and Ireland, this organisation offers the opportunity to lead complex schemes, develop client relationships, and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.
Your new role involves providing technical and commercial leadership across a range of civil engineering projects while managing and mentoring a multidisciplinary team. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, oversee project delivery, drive business development activities, and contribute to the strategic direction of the Belfast office. Responsibilities will include:
- Leading the delivery of major civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
- Managing project teams to ensure quality, programme, and budget targets are achieved.
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Supporting the growth and development of junior and senior engineers.
- Providing technical oversight and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Contributing to business planning, resource management, and strategic initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered status (CEng MICE or equivalent).
- Significant experience within an engineering consultancy environment.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Strong client-facing and business development capabilities.
- Excellent knowledge of infrastructure and civil engineering design projects.
- Experience managing project finances, programmes, and resources.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
