An established housing provider in the Leeds area is seeking an experienced and reliable Maintenance Electrician to join their Property Services team. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical repairs and maintenance across a portfolio of domestic properties.
The Role
- Carry out a variety of electrical maintenance tasks, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to professional standards.
- Work in occupied and void properties, providing excellent service to tenants and residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete day-to-day electrical repairs and maintenance.
- Conduct fault-finding, diagnostics, and rectification.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
- Install, replace, or repair electrical fixtures, fittings, and appliances.
- Undertake EICRs and produce accurate certification.
- Ensure compliance with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Participate in an on-call rota for emergency repairs.
- Maintain van stock and update job details via digital systems.
- Deliver excellent customer service.
- Work independently while representing the organisation professionally.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
- 2391 Inspection & Testing (or 2394/2395 equivalent).
Experience & Skills:
- Experience in domestic or social housing maintenance.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
