The Lead Planner role will suit an ambitious construction professional who thrives in fast-paced project environments and is looking to play a key role in the successful delivery of a flagship mission-critical project. Your new role As Lead Planner, you will take ownership of all planning and programme management activities across a major data centre project, supporting delivery from design and procurement through construction, commissioning and handover. You will be responsible for developing and managing baseline and target programmes, ensuring robust logic sequencing, critical path analysis and accurate project controls are in place throughout the project life closely with project management, engineering, commercial and site delivery teams, you will provide strategic planning support, monitor project performance and identify programme risks and opportunities. You will lead weekly and monthly programme reporting, produce detailed progress updates and provide valuable insight to support project decision-making. The role will also involve coordinating subcontractor programmes, supporting change management processes, developing phasing and logistics plans, and ensuring programme information is accurately maintained within project systems. As a senior member of the project team, you will also mentor and support junior planners while contributing to the successful delivery of one of Europe's most significant data centre developments. What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this position, you will possess a degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline, alongside a proven track record delivering planning and programme management services on large-scale construction will demonstrate strong expertise in Primavera P6, programme development, critical path analysis and project reporting, together with experience supporting complex construction projects within a Tier 1 contractor, major engineering business or large-scale infrastructure environment. A solid understanding of construction methodologies, procurement processes, contract management and programme controls is working on data centre, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, industrial or other highly technical construction projects will be highly advantageous. Knowledge of BIM processes, Common Data Environments (CDE), 4D planning tools and collaborative project delivery environments would be beneficial. Professional memberships such as CIOB, ICE, APM or equivalent, together with a commitment to continued professional development, will be viewed favourably.
