About the Company
This organisation is a well-established and growing civil engineering contractor with a strong reputation for quality, reliability and delivery. As part of continued expansion, the company is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead its technology strategy, systems and security from its Head Office.
Your Role
As IT Manager, you will take ownership of the company's entire IT landscape, shaping strategy, strengthening security and ensuring systems run smoothly across the business. You will lead IT operations, guide staff, and ensure technology supports the organisation's long-term responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering an IT strategy aligned with business objectives and operational needs.
- Managing IT budgets, asset registers, software licencing, cybersecurity controls, pen testing and website oversight.
- Providing technical guidance, training and support to staff on all IT systems.
- Leading the implementation and ongoing management of ISO 27001 and associated policy documentation.
- Ensuring robust networking, security and infrastructure reliability across the organisation.
What You Need to Succeed
- Degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
- 5+ years' experience in a senior IT role with proven leadership and management capability.
- Strong networking knowledge (firewalls, VPN, Wi-Fi) and solid technical background.
- Demonstrated experience delivering or managing ISO 27001 or similar compliance frameworks.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Full right to work in the UK.
