Your new company Is a leading local employer who has over 90 years experience within their industry. Their staff work closely with individual customers and businesses across the UK and Ireland, providing the highest level of customer service and support. This company has appointed Hays exclusively to recruit a HR Officer for their team. This is a stand-alone role that offers a competitive salary & benefits package along with hybrid working. Your new role As HR Officer, you will report directly to the senior management team and have responsibility for the HR function within the business. You will be the first point of contact for all staff in relation to HR enquiries. As HR Officer, you will support the management team on the implementation of company policies and procedures, including employee relations advice such as disciplinaries, grievances, absence management and ensuring best practice approaches are followed, whilst fostering a positive workplace culture. As HR Officer, your key responsibilities will include recruitment and selection of staff at all levels across the business. Managing the onboarding and off-boarding of staff. Performance management, supporting Directors in managing appraisals and implementing training and development programs. Maintaining accurate employee records and preparing HR reports and metrics for Directors. Driving initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention. Organising staff events and well-being programs to promote a positive workplace culture. In your standalone role, you will have access to external HR experts to assist with all HR matters. What you’ll need to succeed Essentially, you will have previous experience working as a HR Officer in a generalist role. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with discretion. This role requires a confident, proactive professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
