Your new company Hays NI are proud to be assisting a building & maintenance contractor based in Co. Down in their search for a Health & Safety Officer to support their growing HSEQ. This organisation has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the island of Ireland.

Your new role As Health & Safety Officer, you will support the Health & Safety Manager in the delivery and continuous improvement of HSEQ systems across all projects.

  • Supporting the implementation and development of HSEQ systems across the business
  • Assisting with the generation and maintenance of compliance and quality documentation
  • Supporting the reporting, investigation and documentation of incidents, near misses and non-conformances
  • Coordinating and monitoring health & safety training and competency requirements
  • Undertaking site inspections and audits, and supporting the preparation and review of RAMS
  • Assisting with internal audits and maintaining ISO management systems
  • Monitoring compliance and ensuring health & safety standards are consistently applied
  • Working closely with site and operational teams to promote a strong safety culture
  • Supporting the delivery of health & safety initiatives and campaigns

This role will involve travel across Northern Ireland.

NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent Health & Safety qualification)

Experience within a construction, engineering or similar environment in a H&S role

Understanding of safe systems of work and construction-related legislation

Experience supporting or working within ISO-accredited management systems

Knowledge of quality assurance processes within construction

Full UK driving licence (essential)

You will also demonstrate:
