Down in their search for a Health & Safety Officer to support their growing HSEQ extensive experience across construction, commercial developments, facilities management and building services. Your new role As Health & Safety Officer, you will support the Health & Safety Manager in the delivery and continuous improvement of HSEQ systems across all projects. This is a varied and hands-on role within a fast-paced construction environment, requiring both initiative and strong collaboration with operational teams.

  • Supporting the implementation and development of HSEQ systems across the business
  • Assisting with the generation and maintenance of compliance and quality documentation
  • Supporting the reporting, investigation and documentation of incidents, near misses and non-conformances
  • Coordinating and monitoring health & safety training and competency requirements
  • Undertaking site inspections and audits, and supporting the preparation and review of RAMS
  • Assisting with internal audits and maintaining ISO management systems
  • Monitoring compliance and ensuring health & safety standards are consistently applied
  • Working closely with site and operational teams to promote a strong safety culture
  • Supporting the delivery of health & safety initiatives and campaigns

This role will involve travel across Northern Ireland.

What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent Health & Safety qualification)
  • Experience within a construction, engineering or similar environment in a H&S role
  • Understanding of safe systems of work and construction-related legislation
  • Experience supporting or working within ISO-accredited management systems
  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes within construction
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)

You will also demonstrate:

  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn and develop
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability within a busy project environment
