An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Officer/Coordinator to join a well-established housing provider on a temporary basis until the end of March. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills and a solid understanding of property maintenance within the social housing sector.

Your new role:

  • Act as the first point of contact for all reactive and planned maintenance enquiries.
  • Log, prioritise, and coordinate maintenance works with contractors.
  • Monitor ongoing jobs, ensuring timely completion and high quality standards.
  • Update and maintain internal systems and databases.
  • Communicate effectively with tenants, contractors, and colleagues to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Assist with compliance tasks, record keeping, and general housing maintenance administration.
  • Administer cyclical and planned major repairs and void works, as well as manage landlord safety to ensure tenants' homes are well maintained and safe.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Previous experience in maintenance coordination role.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Confident using housing or repairs management systems.
  • Available for a temporary contract and able to start quickly.
