This is a great opportunity to work for one of Ireland's leading manufacturing companies that supply state-of-the-art products and facilities into the retail sector. This company prides itself on the quality of their standard, serving hundreds of retailers throughout the UK and Ireland. Due to expansion, they are recruiting for a Field Sales Representative. This is a full-time permanent job. Initially, you will cover the Northern Ireland territory with the plan to eventually move into the Southern Ireland Territory and eventually covering all of Ireland. Salary for this role is around the £33k mark plus bonus, plus company vehicle, laptop and phone, and the opportunity to work from home.
Your new role
As Sales Executive, you will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of independent retail customers across Ireland, while also identifying and securing new customer opportunities. The role will involve regular showroom visits, relationship building with owner-managers, presenting product ranges, and converting opportunities into sustainable, repeat business. This role suits someone who enjoys one-to-one selling and working independently, while also being comfortable with planning and analysis. The Sales Executive will be supported by a dedicated back-office team, along with marketing and product support to assist both the role and retail customers, including sales administration, product training, and marketing materials.
Key responsibilities
- Managing and developing a portfolio of independent retail customers across Ireland
- Identifying and securing new customer opportunities
- Planning and conducting regular showroom visits and customer meetings
- Presenting product ranges and supporting customers with product knowledge
- Analysing sales performance and identifying growth opportunities within accounts
- Preparing thoroughly for sales visits, including follow-up and reporting
- Working closely with senior management to support sales strategy
- Providing structured feedback from the market on customer needs, competitor activity, and product opportunities
