Your new role involves taking full responsibility for leading fabrication and assembly operations, ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This is a key role where you will drive performance, support business growth, and implement continuous improvement. Responsibilities will include:
- Leading daily fabrication and assembly operations to meet production and delivery targets
- Managing labour utilisation, costs, and operational efficiency
- Ensuring compliance with ISO9001, ISO3834, and EN1090 (CE) standards
- Collaborating with engineering teams to ensure products are manufactured to specification
- Driving lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitoring KPIs and implementing corrective actions
- Promoting a strong health & safety culture across all operations
- Overseeing paint line, stores, and dispatch functions
- Leading, coaching, and developing production teams
What you'll need to succeed: You will be an experienced manufacturing leader with a strong background in fabrication and welding, capable of supporting a growing business in a fast-paced environment. You will have:
- Proven leadership experience within fabrication or heavy manufacturing
- Strong technical knowledge of welding and structural steel fabrication
- Experience managing teams and delivering against production targets
- A solid understanding of quality standards and continuous improvement
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and people management ability
Desirable:
- Experience with EN1090, ISO9001, and ISO3834 standards
- Exposure to high-volume manufacturing environments
