Electrical Maintenance Engineer - Bangor - Days - Salary up to £45000 (DoE) Your New Company A specialist site in Bangor with extensive heritage and market reach. Your New Role Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias to join their manufacturing team. This is a hands-on engineering role within a busy manufacturing environment, responsible for maintaining, fault-finding and improving a wide range of production machinery and associated electrical systems. You will play an important role in keeping the factory running safely and efficiently, responding to breakdowns, carrying out planned preventative maintenance and identifying opportunities to improve the reliability and performance of our equipment. They are looking for someone with strong engineering experience who can bring their knowledge and expertise into a new manufacturing environment. Whilst working your core duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Diagnose and repair electrical and control system faults on manufacturing machinery * Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance * Fault-finding using electrical drawings, schematics and diagnostic equipment * Maintain and troubleshoot motors, drives, sensors, PLCs and control systems * Support the installation, commissioning and modification of machinery and equipment * Identify recurring faults and implement solutions to improve machine reliability * Assist with mechanical maintenance and breakdowns where required * Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and disruption. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment faults * Contribute to continuous improvement projects across the manufacturing facility * Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures * Support the development and improvement of preventative maintenance systems * Provide technical support and knowledge to colleagues and other members of the engineering team * Work with external contractors and suppliers where specialist support is required. What You'll Need To Succeed In order to be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications: Have 5 years' experience in an engineering/maintenance role within a manufacturing environment * Have a strong electrical engineering background * Confident in diagnosing and resolving complex electrical faults * Have experience working with industrial machinery and automated equipment * Can read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics * Have experience with PLCs, inverters/drives, motors, sensors and control systems * Have a practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving. Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of issues * Can work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced production environment * Have a strong focus on safety and quality * Is willing to get involved across both electrical and mechanical maintenance when required * Has good communication skills and can work effectively with production and management teams. Previous experience within a similar manufacturing environment is not essential, but would be highly beneficial. The choice is yours to work a 4 or 5 day week (Mon - Thurs 08:00 - 18:00 or Mon - Thurs 08:00 - 17:00 Fri 08:00 12:00).
