Your new company
This construction company is working in partnership with Hays in their recruitment of a Quantity Surveyor. Our client is well established within the construction industry delivering a wide range of construction projects from traditional block to more innovative options such as panelised construction. They specialise in off-site manufacturing facilities across the UK and Ireland, which enables them to deliver exceptional buildings within strict budgets and time frames. This contractor has experienced an increase in workload recently, and such growth is still ongoing. Due to this exponential growth they now have a necessity to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to expand their commercial team.
Your new role
Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for the commercial performance of a range of projects worth up to £5m across a wide range of sectors including: Health, Industrial & Technology, Education, Office and Residential. Working closely with the Operational Team you will ensure the project is delivered on programme and within budget. You will be predominately office based.
What you'll need to succeed
Due to the size and scale of my client's current project portfolio, it is essential that the successful candidate will have previously worked for a main contractor and completed a build project. You will be degree qualified with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role. Strong negotiation skills and effective time management will be essential for the role.
