Your new company is a well-established food manufacturing business in the Dungannon area seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join its Quality team. Operating within a fast-paced production environment, the business is committed to delivering high-quality products that consistently meet customer expectations and food safety requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional looking to develop their career within food manufacturing and gain exposure to a wide range of quality assurance activities.
Your new role involves supporting the day-to-day management of the Quality Assurance function on site. Working closely with production and quality teams, you will carry out routine quality checks, verify product compliance against customer specifications, and support food safety and quality systems across the factory. Your responsibilities will include:
- Process verification checks
- Calibration activities
- ATP and allergen testing
- Raw material intake assessments
- Shelf-life testing
- Laboratory sample management
You will also support product quality initiatives through taste panels and ongoing monitoring activities to ensure standards are maintained throughout production.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Minimum 1 year's experience in a Quality Assurance role in food manufacturing
- HACCP Level 2 qualification
- Food Safety Level 3 qualification
- Experience working with Technical Systems and Food Safety Standards
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of quality-related activities
- Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a positive, proactive attitude
- Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
