Your new company is a well-established motor vehicle company looking to expand their team and is currently seeking a permanent Motor Mechanic / Vehicle Technician. You will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of vehicles to a high standard, ensuring all work meets company quality and safety expectations.
Your new role will require you to:
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on all vehicle types
- Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and manual inspection
- Perform mechanical repairs including brakes, suspension, clutches, timing belts, and engine work
- Prepare vehicles for sale to a retail-ready standard
- Complete job cards and record all work accurately
- Conduct vehicle inspections and report additional work required
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and within agreed timeframes
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies
What you'll need to succeed:
- Proven experience as a motor mechanic or vehicle technician
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Good knowledge of modern vehicle systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Full UK driving licence
