Your new company Hays are working with the Northern Ireland Assembly to recruit a Digital Content Producer.

Your new role As the Digital Content Producer, you will be responsible for creating engaging digital content to support the Northern Ireland Assembly's communications, public engagement and corporate objectives. You will produce high-quality video and digital content for publication across the Assembly's website, social media channels and intranet, while ensuring content is accessible, compliant and aligned with organisational main duties and responsibilities of the post are:

  • Filming and editing video content for publication on the Northern Ireland Assembly's social media channels, website and intranet.
  • Working as part of a team to film and edit material on events and engagements at Parliament Buildings and external venues.
  • Providing on-air presentation and broadcasting for the Assembly's website, social media channels and intranet.
  • Designing and publishing social media graphics, working closely with colleagues in the Communications Office to enhance the branding and messaging of Assembly Committee and public engagement activities.
  • Monitoring mailboxes for content creation requests and delivering work within agreed deadlines.
  • Using knowledge of Assembly processes and Northern Ireland politics to generate ideas and content which effectively communicate corporate objectives.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements including GDPR and accessibility standards so that all content meets required standards.
  • Maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders including MLAs, Assembly Commission staff, officials from Executive departments and members of the public.
  • Managing information and records in accordance with established policies and statutory requirements, including gathering information and co-ordinating responses to information requests and Freedom of Information requests.
  • Complying with all Assembly Commission staff policies and procedures, including Equal Opportunities and Dignity at Work policies and procedures and all mandatory training requirements.
  • Carrying out other duties that the Assembly Commission may reasonably require of you.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • At least a primary degree, minimum 2:2 classification, in any will be considered from applicants with formal qualifications of an equivalent or higher standard to those stated.
  • At least two years' experience in each of the areas outlined below:
    • Regular and skilled use of camera equipment and video editing software for business needs.
    • Using graphic design software for social media and website use.
    • Promoting strategic messaging or corporate storytelling through social media platforms.
    • Using analytics and insights to measure the impact of content on websites and/or social media channels.
  • OR GCSE/GCE O-Level passes at grades A* to C in four subjects, including English Language. Applications will be considered from applicants with relevant formal qualifications of an equivalent or higher standard to those stated.
