An established regional construction contractor with a strong track record delivering Design & Build projects across the commercial, industrial and logistics sectors is looking to appoint a Design & Build Coordinator / Assistant Design Manager.
The business delivers technically complex schemes and offers a stable pipeline of secured work, working closely with consultants, specialists and site teams from pre‑construction through to handover.
The Role
You will support the management of the design process across live projects, coordinating consultants, managing design information and ensuring delivery aligns with programme, buildability and contractor obligations under a Design & Build procurement route.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating multidisciplinary design teams through detailed design and delivery stages
- Managing design information, RFIs and design changes
- Supporting compliance with Employer's Requirements and contract obligations
- Acting as a key interface between consultants, subcontractors and site teams
- Assisting with design risk management and buildability reviews
- Supporting projects through to completion and handover
About You
- Experience in a Design & Build environment, ideally with a contractor
- Background in design coordination, engineering, architecture or construction
- Strong understanding of buildability, programme and technical delivery
- Confident communicator with a proactive, detail‑led approach
